Feelings - when to trust them, when not to.

$10.00

The idea that feelings are not a reliable guide to reality (and that some feelings MUST be dismissed as merely the fabrications of a bruised mind) is both shocking and freeing to the emotion based reason. Yet without the ability to dismiss irrational emotion, therapy is largely ineffective, and even destructive; particularly when it reinforces what amounts to nothing more than echoes from the past. This  lecture will be a real challenge to counsellors and those who have been led to believe that emotions are sacrosanct and only to be validated, never disqualified. David explains why current psychotherapy can be so destructive, and why he believes that emotionally directed reasoning is the cause many relationship breakdowns today. (71 minutes)
